# Introduction to Claude Cowork — first-project worksheet
Universal AI Institute | 45-minute introductory class
Class: https://universalaiinstitute.com/tutorials/introduction-to-claude-cowork

The class is free. Live Cowork practice needs an eligible paid Claude plan.
Without access, use this worksheet to plan, draft, and review on paper.
Use fictional data for this exercise; no connectors are required.

## 1. Setup record
Date:
App or surface:
Practice folder or attached file:
Approval setting:
Files Claude may read:
New outputs Claude may create:
Actions excluded: sending, publishing, browsing, deleting, moving, overwriting.

## 2. Copy these fictional notes to workshop-notes.txt
Saturday community AI workshop. Library meeting room.
Audience: adults trying AI for the first time. Free admission. Laptop optional.
Start time not confirmed. Capacity not confirmed. Facilitator: Maya.
Jordan will check room availability. Registration method undecided.
Suggested activity: turn rough notes into a short invitation.
No accessibility arrangements confirmed yet.

## 3. Task brief
Use only workshop-notes.txt in my UAI Cowork Practice folder.
Create two new files: workshop-brief.md and questions-and-actions.md.
Keep the brief under 250 words, for a first-time volunteer organizer.
Separate unanswered questions from assigned actions in the second file.
Use confirmed facts only. Label suggestions and missing details.
Name an owner only where the source names one. Do not invent deadlines.
Show a short plan and wait for review before creating files.
Keep the source unchanged; do not delete, move, or overwrite files.
Do not browse, connect services, send messages, or publish anything.
Identify the new files and what needs human review when finished.

## 4. Review the plan
Does it stay within the source and two outputs?
What I asked Claude to change before proceeding:

## 5. Open the actual files and compare
[ ] Known facts match the original notes.
[ ] Start time, capacity, registration, and arrangements remain unconfirmed.
[ ] Maya is facilitator; Jordan owns only the room check.
[ ] Suggestions are labeled; unassigned tasks have no invented owner.
[ ] Source unchanged; both output files open and are readable.
[ ] Nothing was sent, published, deleted, or moved.

What I checked:
Error or unclear point I found:
Revision I requested:
Evidence that the actual output changed:

## 6. Self-check — one point each, out of five
Factual accuracy: __ / 1
Visible unknowns: __ / 1
Correct ownership: __ / 1
Readable files: __ / 1
Documented human review: __ / 1
Total: __ / 5
This is a practice rubric, not a certificate.

## 7. Reflection
The instruction that helped most:
What I would check before using real information:
One next task I can define and review:

Independent UAI teaching material. Not an Anthropic certification.
